As the open source Blender 3D graphics application has been significantly extended, my interest in using it has grown greatly. I made this little reflective model just to test some of Blender's features. The problem is that I rarely get inspired to make anything more significant than elementary shapes such as these. These shapes were made using a large number of subsurface cubes. The largest of them has texture displacement to give it an irregular surface. All are given a metallic material. An environment map was used to give the reflective materials something interesting to reflect. When rendering, I turned on Toon Edge Enhance, which gave the edges a slight black cartoon-like quality. No I need to make something of real worth. I will probably make more of these renderings as I learn more.
